Tumane Monastery
Tumane Monastery is located on the banks of the Tumanska river, surrounded by forest, 10 km from Golubac. It is one of the most visited monasteries in our country. The relics of two saints are kept in the monastery’s church – Venerable Zosimus Sinait and Venerable Jacob the New.
The famous hermitage of Saint Zosim is in a deep forest, 1 km from the monastery. It consists of two caves in the rock, connected by a narrow passage. Venerable Zosim lived in one cave and prayed in the other. A miraculous spring is next to the hermitage.
